Ghanaian dancehall king Shatta Wale shared the stage with his idol, Jamaican dancehall legend Vybz Kartel, during the highly anticipated Freedom Street performance at Kingston Stadium.
Shatta Wale, who performed for the first time in Jamaica, thrilled fans with an electrifying set that included his 2024 smash hit “On God,” along with crowd favorites like “Mansa Musa” and “Already.”
Taking the stage with a Ghanaian flag to honor his roots, Shatta Wale expressed his gratitude to Vybz Kartel and the Jamaican audience. “Daddy, I just want to say thank you so much. I’ve not performed in Jamaica before, and this is my first time. I’m always wishing and looking forward to performing with you more on stage. Jamaica, I love you. One love,” he said, concluding his heartfelt speech.
During the performance, Shatta Wale knelt before Vybz Kartel to salute and thank him for the opportunity to share the stage in Jamaica.
